FAQs

What is a Salon?

Salons are rooted in a long tradition of bringing people together to share ideas and perspectives. At Ladysmith, we’ve reimagined that tradition for today: intimate evenings that balance depth with warmth, featuring a founder or creative who opens up about her journey.

The Structure

Each salon brings together ~12 women for a few hours around a theme. We begin with a story, a founder or maker sharing her path, the wins, the struggles, and the lessons learned along the way. From there, the evening opens into discussion, questions, and the kind of back-and-forth that feels less like a panel and more like being around a kitchen table.

The Why

In a culture full of large events and surface-level networking, salons invite us to slow down. They create space for listening, honest sharing, and building connections that last beyond a single evening. Our hope is that each salon leaves you feeling seen, inspired, and reminded that none of us are building alone.

How Can I Attend?

Each salon is a small, carefully curated gathering. We bring together women from different industries, backgrounds, and life stages, not because of titles or hierarchy, but because diverse voices make the conversation richer. The circle stays intentionally small so everyone can be part of the exchange.

The easiest way to be considered for a future salon is to join our private LinkedIn Group. It’s our gathering place outside the room, a way for us to keep track of everyone’s info and areas of expertise, but also a space to say hello, share what you’re working on, and connect with others. If you haven’t joined yet, we’d love to welcome you there.

Can I Still Get the Takeaways If I Don’t Attend?

Absolutely. After each salon, we’ll share a recap here on Substack, highlighting the founder’s journey, nuggets of wisdom, ah-ha moments, and pro-tips, so the conversation extends to the whole community.
