Gatherings are how Ladysmith comes to life in the real world.

There’s no substitute for being in the same room. People show up differently, we slow down, we’re more present, and it leads to deeper, more genuine connection.

From salons and exhibitions to markets and workshops, we create spaces where women can meet and share their stories. Whether we’re around a kitchen table, inside a studio, or activating a downtown storefront, our goal is to bring these stories into physical spaces where they can be seen, felt, and shared.

Salons

Salons have long been spaces where ideas are exchanged, relationships are formed, and conversations unfold. Historically, many salons were hosted by women in their living and dining rooms, at a time when women were often excluded from formal institutions and public discourse. These gatherings created space for people who might not otherwise meet, to sit at the same table, listen and share.

Ladysmith Salons carry that tradition forward.

We bring together an intentionally curated group of 12 women in a founder or maker’s space. We hear her story, how she got here, what nearly stopped her, and what she’s learned along the way. It’s the modern-day kitchen table where the focus is shared experience, open exchange, and women supporting women.

Ladysmith is currently planning Salons for Fall of 2026 and Winter 26/27.

Exhibitions

Gallery exhibitions are one of the ways we bring our storytelling series to life.

Each exhibition centers the women behind the work, giving their stories a visible, public presence.

These installations are an intentional act of showing up for the city itself, bringing energy, foot traffic, and attention back to spaces that need it. It’s about supporting women and contributing to the revitalization of San Francisco.

Ladysmith is currently seeking sponsorships to bring our first exhibit, Studios and Storefronts to life in Fall 2026. Support Us.

Events

We host events, workshops, and markets that bring the Ladysmith community together in real life.

With more gatherings planned for 2026, each one is an opportunity to connect, discover new work, and support the women building and creating across the Bay Area.
